1. Who We Are
Action Hub Advocacy Office is a fictitious business name of Carol Ellen Wall, a California sole proprietor. These terms apply to this website, to messages and documents you send us, and to the advocacy services we provide.
2. Not Legal, Medical, or Financial Advice
Action Hub Advocacy Office is not a law firm, and Carol Ellen Wall is not an attorney. We do not practice law, give legal advice, represent you in court, or prepare legal documents for you. We also do not provide medical, tax, accounting, or investment advice.
We help you understand your options, organize your paperwork, communicate with agencies and providers, and speak up for your needs and wishes. If your situation calls for a licensed professional, we will say so and help you find one.
3. Working Together
Advocacy work begins with a conversation and an honest assessment. Any services, fees, and scope of work are agreed in writing before work begins. Either of us may end the working relationship at any time, in writing; you remain responsible for services already provided.
We cannot promise a particular result. Outcomes with lenders, insurers, agencies, employers, and providers depend on facts and decisions outside our control.
4. Your Responsibilities
You agree to give us accurate and complete information, to send documents promptly, and to tell us right away if your situation changes. You keep the right to make every decision about your own affairs; we act only within the authority you give us.
You agree not to use this website to send unlawful, harmful, or knowingly false material, and not to upload documents you do not have the right to share.
5. Accounts, Messages, and Uploads
If you create a client portal account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the activity in your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Email, web forms, and file uploads are convenient but never perfectly secure. Please do not send information you are not comfortable transmitting electronically; call us instead at 319-881-8882.
6. Fees and Payment
Fees are described in your written service agreement. Unless that agreement says otherwise, invoices are due when presented, and no fee is refundable for work already completed.
7. Website Content
The text, images, and emblems on this site belong to Action Hub Advocacy Office and may not be copied or reused without permission. Information on this site is general and may change; it is not a promise of services for your specific situation.
8. Limits of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by California law, our total liability arising from our services or this website is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in question. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts of third parties such as agencies, lenders, insurers, or providers.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the courts serving the county where our office is located, unless we both agree in writing to mediation first.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update these terms from time to time; the date above shows the current version. Questions? Call 319-881-8882 or write to carol@myadvocacyoffice.com.
