Carol began as a paralegal and went on to manage a Palo Alto law firm — running deadlines, filings, client communication, and the operations that keep a case moving. That is where the instinct for organized, well-documented advocacy was formed.

Technology work in Menlo Park
Carol worked in the tech field for a major components manufacturer in Menlo Park. Portals, systems, and digital paperwork hold no fear here — which matters when an agency expects you to file everything online.

Carol has attended and served the same church for over two decades, serving as communications director across two building projects — keeping a congregation informed, aligned, and moving forward.
A decade of youth work
Adult leader, and an advocate before truancy boards
More than ten years as an adult leader in the youth group, including standing with young people as they appeared before truancy boards — early, practical advocacy for families who needed someone in the room.
In the community
Representing the church at city planning meetings
Attending city planning meetings on the church's behalf taught Carol how public processes actually work, and how much difference a prepared, respectful voice makes.
Today
Action Hub Advocacy Office
All of it converged into one office: legal-adjacent know-how, technical fluency, and a lifetime of showing up for people. Action Hub Advocacy Office is the first division of Action Hub, with more planned as the community's needs grow.
Outside the office
Carol has been married to her husband Tom for almost 30 years. She is also a lifelong animal lover and equestrian who boards her horses in Woodside, and she has helped neighbors get their dogs out of impound — small, unglamorous advocacy that tells you everything about how she works.
