Portrait of Carol Ellen Wall, founder and advocate

Carol Ellen Wall

Founder & Advocate

Carol is the person who answers the phone, reads your notice, prepares your documents, and follows up until the matter is resolved. Her background spans paralegal work and law firm management in Palo Alto, technology work for a major components manufacturer in Menlo Park, and certification as a meeting and events professional.

For more than twenty years she has served the same church — as communications director for two building projects and as an adult youth leader for over a decade, standing with young people before truancy boards and representing the church at city planning meetings.

Outside the office

Carol has been married to her husband Tom for almost 30 years. Family, faith, and a houseful of animals keep her grounded — and they are a big part of why she believes every person deserves someone in their corner who listens first and advocates second.

In her spare time: wildlife photography

One of Carol's favorite hobbies is wildlife photography, with a particular focus on birds in flight. It takes patience, timing, and a willingness to wait for the right moment — the same qualities she brings to advocacy work.

A lifelong equestrian

Carol is a lifelong equestrian. Years around horses taught her steadiness, trust, and the value of showing up every single day — habits that carry straight into the way she walks alongside her clients.

Our network of professional advisors

Advocacy has limits, and we respect them. When something falls outside Carol's scope, she works with a trusted network of professionals — communicates her findings to them, then brings the options back to you so decisions are made together.

Legal professionals

Attorneys we can bring in when a matter genuinely needs legal representation or formal legal advice.

Housing & lending specialists

For loan modifications, servicer negotiations, and foreclosure timelines that need specialist eyes.

Employment & wage claim resources

Support for filing a wage claim with the Department of Industrial Relations when that is the right step.

Healthcare & benefits advisors

Help with appeals, billing disputes, and coverage questions that require clinical or benefits expertise.

How a referral works

  1. 1

We review your situation together and identify exactly what is in and out of advocacy scope.

  2. 2

If a specialist is needed, Carol contacts the right advisor and communicates her findings directly.

  3. 3

We review their input together, and you decide whether to engage a professional for that part.

  4. 4

Carol stays with you throughout, coordinating documents, deadlines, and follow-up.
